Everyday, maybe every second day, my mom calls her sister or her sister calls my mom. She lives in the states and has 6 kids, 4 of her own and 2 stepsons from her second marriage. The typical American family. She had mention to my mom that her husband had taken all the kids to see Juno. My mom was kinda shocked because well Juno is about teen pregnancy and my youngest cousins aren’t even 11. But we were all going to see it that night, so my mom said that she’d tell my aunt how it was. So we went, My mom, my dad, my mom’s friend visiting from Edmonton and me. Yes, I do go see movies with my family on Monday nights. I liked the movie. My parents being a little uptight and religious tried to hold in the fact that they didn’t like it because of all the sexuality, but they know I get mad at them for being narrow minded, so they held it in. Anyway, later on in the week my mom is talking to her sister like usual. She tells my aunt that the kids probably shouldn’t have seen Juno because of all the sexuality. Well my aunt launches into how they already know all about that stuff and that they’ve already had a family talk about oral sex and all that jazz. Well, my mom was shocked of course. And my aunt proceeded to say that in middle school they have these parties called “Lipstick parties” where all the girls wear different shades of lipstick and proceed to have oral sex with X amount of guys and the guy who has the most lipstick on his penis wins. Needless to say, my mom changed the subject.
Later on after the call my mom told me this story. I went to a private christian school in middle school, so excuse me that I know nothing of this, but I just wondered if this happens in middle schools here. I mean I’ve never heard of it and I sure as hell hope it doesn’t. If anything this just affirms my belief that America would be the worst place to live! I’d like to think that Canada has a higher moral standing, even if it’s only 1% higher. I am just seriously grossed out be this. Maybe I’m one of those young that youth is wasted on because I think that we should respect our bodies and I don’t go to many parties. But I don’t know I guess I’m just really grossed out. I know that a lot of shit goes down in high school, but in middle school!! I mean they’re just little kids! Am I completely insane to think that this is wrong?
Lipstick Parties

The only other place I’ve heard of “lipstick parties” was an episode of CSI…But I’ve read disturbing news articles about kids in middle school in either the U.S. or Canada having sex IN School. Yeah, some kids are just the product of bad parenting, bad guidance, or some serious mental disorders. And is it wrong that I laughed at the whole “lipstick party” idea?
They have rainbow parties… which is a lipstick party.. umm there are clubs that do this. In toronto as well, but that is for adults. I didn’t know middle school kids do this though, I’m sorry but lol… i feel sorry for the boys. My jokes a side, I don’t think it’s appropriate… and really quite disgusting that this happens. Sometimes it isn’t even from bad parenting. Kids find ways around their parents, I think it was really from some kid getting told and experimenting etc etc… kids are curious. But this is a little far and quite frightening..
ok I have NEVER heard of this let alone done it. I think since I grew up in a school type place that wouldn’t even let my boyfriend and I hold hands I couldn’t have known. I knew what a…ummmm… *whispers* bj is but could prolly never have given one…mostly I think thats cuz I think I was always gay but… still.
I know of I was a guy the idea of competing over how many girls would…su…umm bleep by bleep would be great! NOT I could never even think of doing that to a girl!

These are sick. It’s ridiculous. To me, even at our age that’s a little much, but middle school kids participating in this seems almost unfair to them, because they don’t really know any better, I’m sure. There are some sick people out there, and they’re supporting this kind of sick behaviour in kids. I’m kind of scared for the future.

I think that parties like this, in general, are bad. All they do is add more people to the STD population. (Yes you can get STD’s from oral sex [for those of you who didn't know that lol]) AND they make people whores. Anyway you put it if you are going to these parties and participating/ you give oral sex to random people even if you’re not at a party, you my friend, are a whore. And that’s not a good thing. Well I think so anyway. So to sum this up, people shouldn’t be whores in general no matter what the age BUT ESPECIALLY IN MIDDLE SCHOOL. C”MON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But yeah, I don’t mean to make this sound like I’m aiming at your cousins/aunt/whomever in your family participated IF they did I’m not sure? Nicole, cause I’m not talking about them (just to get that out there lol) so please don’t take offence
And yes, it just reinforces my opinion that I would never live in the U.S. but I guess it probably happens here too in Canada I just don’t know about it.
um wow…that has got to be one of the most disturbing things i’ve ever heard of…lipstick parties? why would a girl in her right mind want to do that anyways??? okay i get maybe giving your steady a bj…even though the idea grosses me out, but giving as many guys as possible bjs and they win if they have more lipstick on their dicks? gross!!! lipstick is kinda gross to btw…all smeary and it makes it a pain in the bum to drink anything while its on cuz it smears on the glass…yeah…i just don’t understand this lipstick party thing..

That is really gross! i was really shocked to hear that. Thats actually mind boggling.. itsa huge shocker. I know me as a kid in public school would have never sone something like that and me as a teenager now will NEVER get near any of that! It just scares me at what kind of world our kids will be living in. But ya, thats just disturbing!
So I just want to clarify because I think I wrote this kinda badly. My aunt lives in the states and this is happening at middle schools in her area, where her kids will eventually go to. She is not saying that its a good thing, she tells her kids to make sure they know what parties they are invited to so they don’t end up and one of these.
so definitely have never heard of this and i have to say that i am very happy that I never have. I would never think that this actually happens. That is a little weird. Who thinks of these things honestly?… disgusting.
You know though, it makes me wonder if the kids really know exactly what they’re doing. I mean, everybody is exposed to so much sex on a daily basis, I think the significance of the act has been degraded. A lot.
I also think though, that some of these things have more to do with individual schools and cities than actual entire counties. I know that growing up in Plattsville, and moving on to WO, we’re exposed (within our social groups) to less sexual pressure than other schools. And thats not to say its not there…
I know that I know a teacher who works at a *public* school in Kitchener, and he found a girl giving a blow job to another boy. I believe he said they were in grade 5. I guess they had problems with the older boys (gr 5 & 6) trying to force younger girls, anywhere from kindergrden to grade 3, to give them blow jobs.
But really though. Tomorrow, count how many times you hear a sexual reference or joke. From tv, friends, ads, anything. I think you’d be surprised just how many times a day we’re exposed to it.
Oh we’re exposed to it daily and it’s sad. And if it’s not the actual act of sex we’re exposed to, it then becomes other aspects, like sex appeal. I mean how like girls are supposed to be blonde skinny etc. and guys are supposed to be ‘tall dark and handsome’. It’s sad really.

When a community/school (etc) starts having things like that come up they need to realize that they have serious problems. That is just disgusting. But then how do you handle a situation like that? Would punishing the kids be the best idea?
I think more than school punishment should happen. Kids in kidergaten are pratically out of the womb. that is just WRONG!
This is insane. I heard about it on Oprah a long time ago, but I pretty much just passed it off as a one-time, one-school thing. That’s insane that it actually happens!! It definately didn’t happen at my publid school. Dating at my school was like, MAYBE holding hands out by the fence. People only kissed in Truth or Dare, and even then it was just a peck. I can’t believe littl ekids even know what to do! Maybe that’s just me, because I guess I was a little sheltered but in grade 3, I don’t even think i fully understood about where babies came from. This is crazy. It certainly never happened at my school.
